Tiber Reservoir is a large prairie reservoir in north-central Montana, formed by the Tiber Dam on the Marias River. Surrounded by wide-open landscapes and rolling plains, it offers a quiet, expansive setting that contrasts sharply with Montana’s mountain lakes.
Tiber Reservoir supports a strong walleye fishery along with northern pike, perch, and occasional trout. Walleye fishing is productive from spring through fall, with structure and wind-driven areas playing a key role in success.
Several public access points and boat ramps serve the reservoir, with simple facilities and open shoreline suitable for both boat and bank fishing.
Species-specific limits apply, particularly for walleye and northern pike. Seasonal and ice fishing regulations may also be in effect.
